Legendary New York Yankee Hall of Famer Yogi Berra has been enjoying a second life as an author, through a series of bestselling titles at Workman that included The Yogi Book. Now he will take up his mouse, or pen, or whatever he uses, once more, to do a book tentatively entitled A Ring for Every Finger for Mauro DiPreta, buying on behalf of Harper Entertainment. The idea for the book came from DiPreta, who approached the star through his agent, David Vigliano. The book will describe each of the record 10 championship rings to which Berra is entitled; 15 times an all-star, he won American League MVP three times and played in 14 World Series, leading the Yankees to victory in 10 of them. The publisher has world rights and will publish in fall next year. Berra's (inevitable) comment: "I never realized I always wanted to do a book like this."
