Audio Book Club has announced the winner of its second annual short story contest for club members. Rebecca Rohner's story "A Heart Full of Diamonds," written under the pen name Anne Marie Jenner, was judged best out of a pool of more than 400 entries. As her prize, Rohner won an audiobook publishing contract and had her story professionally produced (by David Rapkin) and published (by MediaBay, the club's parent company) as an audiobook recently made available through Audio Book Club. And if the results of last year's contest are any indication, Rohner may be in for more bright spots in her future. Because of the exposure from the short-story contest, last year's winner, Belinda Yandell, was solicited by a literary agent and a print version of her work, Small Change, will be published this fall by Cumberland House.

According to Traci Cothran, v-p editorial for Audio Book Club, member demand is so strong that the third contest kicked off in May; the winner will be announced this fall.
