Broadman & Holman left no stone unturned to get its big fall title, Oliver North's debut novel, Mission Compromised, onto the national bestseller charts (it's #9 on PW's chart this week). The book was launched with a $250,000 marketing campaign that included pre-pub and Internet promotion and a month-long bus tour (60+ signings in about 40 cities this month). Attendance, according to the publisher, has been strong, with lines around the block a common sight. Total in print: 300,000.
