No, not Harper Lee, but Emily Fox Gordon, whose Mockingbird Years, published by Basic, garnered stellar reviews as an account of the author's unusual progress through psychoanalysis. Now Gordon has a new two-book deal, signed with Julie Grau at Riverhead, for world English rights in two further memoirs: the first is Faculty Brat, an account of growing up 40 years ago as part of an intellectual family allied to Swarthmore College, set for delivery early in 2005. The second book is an essay collection, Kafka and Me: Stages in the Life of an Accidental Philosopher. The sales were made by Elyse Cheney at Sanford Greenburger.
