The latest in what seems to be a wave of novels taking the lid off the "steamy" magazine business (of which we're a pretty hot part ourselves) is called Page Sex. It's by two anonymous senior editors who have given themselves the pseudonym C.J. Tosh. Media people love this sort of stuff, and the book went to a three-round auction involving four publishers before Lauren McKenna at Pocket Books nailed it with a strong world rights offer. The book, whose authors will reveal their identity at next fall's pub date, will be done as the first hardcover from Pocket's new "chick lit" line, Downtown Press. The agent was Donna Bagdasarian at Vigliano Associates.
