Kensington Publishing has added two well-known industry veterans: Lynn Bond and Audrey LaFehr.

Bond, most recently president and publisher of Random House Value Publishing, has been named director of sales and new business. The director of sales post is a new position at Kensington and gives Bond responsibility for all of the publisher's sales activities. "It's a way to pull all our different sales operations together," a spokesperson explained. Bond, who will report to Laurie Parkin, v-p and publisher, will also investigate new business opportunities for the company.

LaFehr will start at Kensington August 18 as editorial director, joining editorial directors Kate Duffy and John Scognamiglio. She had been executive editor at New American Library. LaFehr will focus on acquiring titles in women's fiction, romance, chick-lit, suspense and African-American fiction. She will report to editor-in-chief Michaela Hamilton.
