Michael Moore's newest book, Dude, Where's My Country?, headed out fast from the starting gate, landing at #2 on PW's list (the heavyweight South Beach Diet refused to be evicted from that slot). Warner's first printing was a hefty 603,000 copies, and it went back to press four more times, bringing the total up to 903,000. The author (see interview, page 30) is touring 35 cities in 25 days and so far he has attracted massive audiences (7,000 in Denver, 8,000 in Berkeley). His 2002 bestseller, Stupid White Men, was on PW's charts for 46 weeks and sold about four million copies worldwide. —With reporting by Diane Roback
