In anticipation of an upcoming restructuring of its creative department, DK's senior v-p for publishing Chuck Lang has left the company.

In a memo, Bill Barry, president of DK's U.S. operation, said the company is "reorienting" its editorial and design department so that "it is in accord" with the recent reorganization of the DK creative divisions in London. In March, the U.K. operation consolidated 11 editorial categories into six publishing groups and appointed publishing directors to head each group.

It wasn't clear at press time how Lang, who was with DK for 11 years, will be replaced. In his memo, Barry said he will be meeting with the editorial and design staffs to go over the specifics of the realignment in the next few weeks.
