The 2005 Audie Awards, which recognize achievement and excellence in various aspects of the audio industry, will be handed out at a gala event June 3 in New York City at Tavern on the Green. But there's plenty of work to do before then. Publishers are asked to submit what they consider to be their top titles to the Audio Publishers Association for Audie consideration. This year, the Audies program comprises 31 categories, including Audiobook of the Year. New categories in the lineup in 2005 are Literary Fiction, Romance and a Judges' Award (this year the Judges' Award category is Language Learning).

The final entry deadline is November 1, 2004, for titles published between August 1 and October 31, 2004. Details about submission procedures and entry fees can be found on the APA Web site, www.audiopub.org.
