Certainly the Mouse House is no stranger to controversy, but now the long-running contretemps has morphed into an appropriately titled bestseller, DisneyWar, which marks its second week on PW's list. As a result of the extra-loud pre-pub buzz on this one, Simon & Schuster moved the book's publication ahead by three weeks, scuttling plans for a one-day laydown. Pulitzer Prize— winning author James Stewart (Den of Thieves) ran a jam-packed media gamut the week of February 14. Features, excerpts and reviews have run in just about every publication except maybe the New England Journal of Medicine, and Stewart is out on a nine-city tour. First serial ran in the New Yorker on January 10, and the New York Times weighs in with a scheduled March 20 review. Copies in print: 200,000 after four trips to press. —with reporting by Dick Donahue
