Wasserman to Agent



Steve Wasserman has resigned as editor-in-chief of the Los Angeles Times Book Review and will become an agent with the New York office of the agency Kneerim & Williams at Fish & Richardson. The shop of Jill Kneerim and Ike Williams has repped books recently by Brad Meltzer, Stephen Greenblatt and Joseph Ellis, and works with a mix of serious and commercial titles.

Pavone Joins Workman

Chris Pavone, formerly executive editor at Clarkson Potter, has been named associate editor at Artisan Books, a Workman imprint, where he will acquire books, in addition to his managerial duties.

Van Natta Joins S&S

Corine Van Natta, formerly director of mass merchandiser sales at Penguin USA, has been named director of distributor sales and retail marketing, managing all children's sales efforts.

J. Countryman Tabs Stilwell

Lisa Stilwell, previously development editor at Multnomah Publishers, has been named editor-in-chief. She will acquire, and manage the editorial team at J. Countryman and Elm Hill Books.

NBN Picks Molinari

Peter Molinari, currently mass merchandising sales manager at Publishers Group West, has been named director of mass markets at National Book Network, effective May 16. He'll be based in Long Beach, Calif.

Geiger Joins Golden Agency

Ellen Geiger, previously with the Curtis Brown Agency for 10 years, has been named a senior agent at the Frances Goldin Literary Agency.
