Brickhouse Joins HC



Jamie Brickhouse has been named director of HarperCollins Speakers Bureau. Brickhouse will be reporting directly to senior v-p and group publicity director Debbie Stier, while Julie Elmuccio (who's been with the division since its inception) has been named Speakers Bureau coordinator. Brickhouse was most recently v-p and executive director of publicity at the Perseus Books Group. Elsewhere at HC, Virginia Stanley has been promoted to director of academic and library marketing. Stanley has been with the house for 18 years.

Two Move Up At Free Press

Maris Kreizman has been promoted to associate editor, up from assistant editor, at Free Press; she joined the house four years ago as an editorial assistant. Kate Harris Jay is joining the company as senior publicist. She arrives from Doubleday, where she was a publicist for the imprint's religious list.

Bardales Joins 'Críticas'

Aída Bardales has been named editor at Críticas, a sister publication to PW that covers Spanish-language publishing. Bardales was most recently at HarperCollins as an editor for the Rayo imprint.

Walker Rises At Penguin

Alan Walker has been named senior director of academic marketing and sales at Penguin Group. Walker, who was director of that group, takes over from the late Daniel Lundy, who died last month. Walker came to Penguin in 1992 and was at Oxford University Press before that.
