Hulse, Chou Up at HC

Leslie Hulse and Rachel Chou have both been promoted in the Internet Development Group at HarperCollins. Hulse, who previously led the development team behind www.harpercollins.com, has been named to the new position of v-p, digital business development; she will focus on crafting new partnerships with retailers, search engines and others. Chou has been named v-p, online product development and operations.

Bitting to Thomas Nelson

Stuart M. Bitting has been named executive v-p and CFO of Thomas Nelson. Bitting will succeed Joe L. Powers, who has held the post since 1979, on December 3. Bitting most recently served as CFO of David Weekley Homes, one of the largest private homebuilders in the U.S.

Kline to Scholastic

Daisy Kline has been named director of marketing & brand management at Scholastic Media. Kline will report to Leslye Schaefer, senior v-p of marketing and consumer products, and will oversee all marketing initiatives and brand strategies for such Scholastic Media properties as Clifford the Big Red Dog and Goosebumps. She arrives from Random House Children's Books, where she was director of marketing. Also at Scholastic Media, Rachel Bender has also been promoted to director of consumer products.
