Fain Up at Little, Brown

Heather Fain has been promoted from publicity director to v-p and marketing director at Little, Brown. Fain will now oversee marketing for all LB and Back Bay hardcovers and paperbacks. She started her career in the Warner publicity department and has worked on campaigns for such titles as The Lovely Bones and Blink. With Fain’s promotion, she takes on most of the duties of Sophie Cottrell, who officially starts as Hachette’s new v-p and corporate communications director April 7.

Mulligan Rises At Gotham

Patrick Mulligan has been promoted to editor at Gotham Books. Mulligan, who has been at Gotham for the past five years, has worked on such books as Julia Flynn Siler’s The House of Mondavi and Michael Weinreb’s Kings of New York.

Korn Up at HC

Adam Korn has joined HarperCollins’s creative development team as senior editor. Korn was previously an editor at Crown and, before that, did editorial stints at RHPG and Kensington. He’s worked on such books as Jerry Rice’s Go Long!

Cunningham to Guideposts

Linda Cunningham has been hired at Guideposts as v-p and editor-in-chief. She had most recently been at Meredith Books.

Cunningham will report to Jonathan Merkh, v-p book publishing and will be based at Guideposts Books’ New York City office.
