Susan Hecht has been named associate director of retail marketing at Roaring Brook Press, a newly created position. Hecht, who will work with all imprints at Roaring Brook, including First Second and Kingfisher, arrives from Random House

Pecorale Joins S&S

Christina Pecorale has been named director of national accounts, children’s sales, at Simon & Schuster. Pecorale arrives from Random House, where she was one of two national account managers handling BGI for the children’s division.

Spring Retiring, Eikenburg Up At Wiley

Mike Spring is retiring as travel publisher at Wiley, effective July 1. To fill Spring’s position, Ensley Eikenburg has been promoted to associate publisher/associate marketing director of the travel program. Spring will continue at Wiley as director of special projects and will work with the company’s travel group on certain initiatives.

Kaire Up at Grand Central

Natalie Kaire has been promoted to senior editor at Grand Central.

Peterson to Phoenix Books

Gray Peterson has been named v-p of sales and marketing at Phoenix Books. Peterson was most recently head of special, mass market and trade sales at Scholastic. Before Scholastic, Peterson was with Dalmation Press.
