Rosen to ESPN Books

Richard (R.D.) Rosen has joined ESPN Books as senior editor. He will acquire, develop and edit sports-related books in most nonfiction categories. He was most recently a senior editor at Workman Publishing, where he coauthored the bestselling humor books Bad Cat, Bad Dog and Bad President.

Gayle to Mary Jack Wald

Sharon Shavers Gayle has joined Mary Jack Wald Associates as an agent. Her clients include Denise Lewis Patrick, Gregg Loomis and John Peel. Gayle was most recently editorial director at Golden Books.

Stickney Up at Penguin Press

Laura Stickney has been promoted to editor at the Penguin Press. Stickney joined Penguin in 2006 from Oxford University Press and has edited, among other titles, Arthur Schlesinger Jr.'s Journals and Adam Cohen's Nothing to Fear.

Graham to NAIPR

The National Association of Independent Publishers Representatives (NAIPR) has hired Laurie Graham to fill the newly created position of director, publisher services.

Graham, who was at the store inventory control provider WordStock Inc., will receive and manage submissions for NAIPR's data-entry service for industry buyers.
