Cooper Up at S&S Children's

Alexandra Cooper has been promoted to senior editor at Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. Cooper, who's been with S&S for eight years, has worked with authors Heather Vogel Frederick (Mother Daughter Book Club) and Nora Baskin (Anything but Typical).

Ehrenhaft to Sourcebooks

Daniel Ehrenhaft has joined Sourcebooks as a middle-grade and YA acquisitions editor. Ehrenhaft, who arrives from Alloy Entertainment, will be based in Sourcebooks's New York City office. Ehrenhaft has worked with such authors as Francine Pascal, Ann Brashares and Cecily von Ziegesar, and he helped create the bestselling Gossip Girl and Peaches series; he is also a YA and middle-grade author himself—he wrote The Wessex Papers and 10 Things to Do Before I Die.

McNamee Succeeds Weiner at CCC

Miles McNamee has been named v-p of licensing and business development at the Copyright Clearance Center. McNamee succeeds Bob Weiner, who is retiring at the end of June, after 18 years with CCC.
