Shar to B&N

Jonathan Shar has been named general manager of digital newsstand and emerging content at Barnes&Noble.com. In this role, Shar will work with various content publishers to sell and market their digital editorial products to Barnes & Noble customers. Shar was most recently senior v-p and general manager of CNNMoney.com and, before that, was an executive at the Sports Illustrated Group.

Stein to 'Paris Review'

Lorin Stein was named editor of the Paris Review. Stein, who's been an editor at FSG since 1998, will be leaving FSG in April, replacing Philip Gourevitch, who's been editor of the literary quarterly for the past five years. Stein's edited a string of big-name literary authors including Jeffrey Eugenides, Jonathan Franzen, Denis Johnson, and Richard Price.

Geise, Soderberg Back to Perseus

Megan Geise has returned to Perseus Distribution as client sales and marketing manager. Most recently, she worked at Simon & Schuster in its client services department. Marisa Soderberg will return to Perseus March 16 in the new position of academic marketing manager. She had been with Perseus from 2005 to 2008 as academic marketing coordinator. Most recently, Soderberg was assistant direct marketing manager at Oxford University Press.
