Publishers may say that their being more selective about what they bring to this year’s regional conferences, but it sure doesn’t feel collectively like they have cut back. There’s something for every bookseller, from galleys for bestselling authors like M.J. Rose, The Book of Lost Fragrances (Mar. ’12) and the movie tie-in of Michael Lewis’s Moneyball, starring Brad Pitt, to The Recipe Project, which sings every ingredient of famous chefs’ recipes. In addition to books, galleys, and the occasional tote bag, which have become standard fare, Penguin, is holding a raffle at all nine shows. The grand prize is a Penguin Classics Skateboard Deck with seven books, a mixture of children’s and adult titles.

* Books and galleys will be at all nine shows unless otherwise indicated.
