The Prisoner of Pineapple Place

Jeremiah Jenkins was last heard from in The People of Pineapple Place, about a mobile, invisible street inhabited by people who never grow old. Now Jeremiah is tired of being nine years old and a fourth grader. When he meets and befriends an ordinary girl, Ruby, he sets in motion events that could alter Pineapple Place forever. The logic of the story is flawless as Lindbergh gracefully explains away magical occurrences and surprising developments. As for the folk of Pineapple Place (who bore poor Jeremiah), they will intrigue and charm the most skeptical of readers, and their actions seem to point, handily, to more immortal adventures.
