Therapist Mmp
Ellen Plasil. St. Martin's Press, $3.95 (224pp) ISBN 978-0-312-90363-3
This is Plasil's expose of her own psychoanalyst, who dominated his patients and forced them to have sex with him. In Plasil's case, the sexual ""treatment'' caused her to doubt her own sanity, have bouts with anorexia and develop various phobias. After five years, she realized something was wrong and sued the analyst for malpractice, which led to his public disgrace and retirement. PW commented: ``It is hard to understand how the author could have been unquestioning of the bizarre practices to which the therapist subjected her and other female patients.'' (March)
