Solheim’s debut contemporary is a winning romantic thriller with a football theme. Carly March, European socialite turned employee of the Baltimore Blaze, flirts recklessly with quarterback Shane Devlin while on vacation in Mexico. Despite an immediate attraction, Carly is determined to stay far away from the second-generation football player with a massive chip on his shoulder, especially since kissing him could get her fired. Back in Baltimore, Shane, who has spent his life never wanting to need anyone, shares Carly’s trepidation about a relationship, but when a stalker sets his sights on Carly and Shane inherits custody of the half-brother he’s never known, the socialite and quarterback quickly come to rely on each other.
