Getting Inside

Bell (To Have and to Hold) scores a touchdown with her fresh and fast-paced first Seattle Grizzlies sports contemporary. Iona Thomas just earned an elite job as a coach in the Professional Football League and refuses to let her attraction to linebacker Ty Williams get in the way of her success. It’s hard to be a woman in a league dominated by men, but Iona quickly proves that under her guidance the defensive line can turn the team’s fortune around. Ty plans on respecting Coach Thomas’s authority, but he can’t get past the attraction he feels for her. Eventually they succumb, trying to keep their relationship quiet, but Ty lives under a spotlight where privacy is limited. Bell misses an opportunity for Iona to choose herself over Ty, but the unremarkable ending doesn’t take away from a solid romance that features two strong people fighting for their relationship.
