Minnesota 24/7: 24 Hours. 7 Days. Extraordinary Images of One Week in Minnesota.

For many people, the name Minnesota may conjure up images of the Blue Earth Green Giant or the enclosed walkways of downtown St. Paul or fishing on Lake Harriet. Smolan and Cohen's photo compilation contains classic shots of each of these state landmarks, but it also supplements them with less familiar images, such as girls in Eagen putting on black eyeliner before heading to the Dairy Queen and couples getting married in the Mall of America. A great gift book or Minnesota memento, the book only has one flaw: because it's part of the America 24/7 project, all its images were shot in May, so there's no suggestion of the state's notorious winters.
