A Heart Divided

A classic Chinese epic comes to an exciting end with the fourth and final English language release of Yong’s Legends of the Condor Heroes series (after A Snake Lies Waiting). In 1200 CE China, Guo Jing, a highly skilled martial artist, seeks help from the reclusive King Duan to heal his fatally wounded love, Lotus Huang. But curing Lotus alone will not be enough to keep the pair together, as Jing previously agreed to return to Mongolia and marry Genghis Khan’s daughter, Khojin. While doing all he can to avoid this fate, Jing works to avenge his family and free himself and his exiled mother to return to her homeland. His loyalties falter, however, when he finds evidence that Lotus’s father killed Jing’s five teachers, splitting the lovers apart. When Jing later realizes he was mistaken, he sets out to reunite with Lotus—a task that brings him face to face with the destiny he’s tried so hard to avoid. Series fans will be delighted to return to this universe for a final, invigorating quest. Jing, Lotus, and the rest of their companions are sure to be missed. [em](Aug.) [/em]
