The Good Twin

At the start of this intricately plotted psychological thriller from Green (the Help Innocent Prisoners Project series), 17-year-old Sasha Holcolm gives birth to twin girls. Alone and without any family support, she feels forced to give one of them up. The one she keeps, Mallory, grows up poor in Scranton, Pa. Wealthy New Yorkers adopt the other one, Charlotte. After Sasha’s death, Mallory moves to Queens, N.Y., where she takes art classes in the city and works as a waitress. Her life changes when she discovers by chance that she has an identical twin. Charlotte is a successful art gallery owner, but her marriage is on the rocks and she fears her husband wants her dead. The personality of each twin changes as both come to terms with their past and deal with a present filled with lies, fraud, revenge, and murder. Readers’ sympathies will be volleyed between the two sisters as they try to decide which one really is the good twin. Green keeps the surprises coming in this twisty standalone.
