Opening this board book reveals one of Egypt’s mysteries right off the bat: the pages have been die-cut to form a pyramid, with the pages increasing in size as readers progress through the book. Throughout the stacked pages, Ruzicka introduces various aspects of life in ancient Egypt—including agriculture, the construction of the pyramids, the Pharaohs, and mummification—as well as Howard Carter’s excavation of Tutankhamen’s tomb in 1922.
