Better Than Sex

Few people need more encouragement for indulging in chocolate, but if you crave some rationalization for doing so, the pro-chocolate facts in this book will sit well in your stomach. Using seven principles that can be applied to both the sweet treat and to life, Cheung, the author of 13 self-help and psychology books including Stress: The Lazy Person's Guide, helps readers find emotional well-being through the wisdom contained in America's favorite dessert. And while the relationship between chocolate and life principles may be slightly precarious, Cheung's reflections offer the reader a frivolous respite from the usual self-help book genre. In Principle Five, A Little Chocolate Goes a Long Way, Cheung instructs readers to ""Choose the best chocolate you can buy"" and then extrapolates the life lesson, ""Expect nothing less than the best from yourself and your life."" With excerpts from literature, recipes for desserts like Fudge Puddle Pudding, and a personality test based on the shapes of your favorite candy, the content is somewhat scattered, and Cheung seems takes her topic a bit too seriously, but many readers will still find pleasure in this playful indulgence.
