Christmas Train

“Get some cocoa. Grab a seat.” In this holiday iteration of Miles’s train titles, an accordion-style board book unfolds into an 18-car train transporting classic Christmas delights: “1 jolly Santa, cheery nose and cheeks” peeks from the engine, accompanied by “2 clever elves making toys for weeks.” Other cars are filled with the standard winter goodies, each captured in colorful contemporary illustrations: poinsettias, sugar plums, candy canes, and the like. Toward the end, an elf checks names on a long scroll. Twenty-five train cars may have made more sense given the holiday; nevertheless, Miles’s interactive Christmas train makes for a merry ride.
