Emphasizing the importance of being personable, Morby recounts how his decision to help a seller find a new home for her pet rabbits led her to sell to him over other buyers: “This whole business is helping people and solving problems.” Advice for finding buyers includes promoting rent-to-own arrangements to would-be renters, as well as collaborating with other realtors to pool leads on potential deals. The author breaks down “creative” ways of financing deals, including lease-to-buy, taking over a mortgage, and “seller financing,” which involves the seller acting as lender while the buyer pays off the cost of the property in installments.
