Marvin One Too Many

In his latest adventure, Marvin arrives late on the first day of school and his teacher tells him there's no more room in Marvin One Too Many by Katherine Paterson, illus. by Jane Clark Brown. To make matters worse, he doesn't know how to read and his parents don't have time to help. Colored-pencil illustrations capture the boy's wide-ranging expressions. (Sept.)
