) rather pedestrian gratitude list ("Thanks for Thanksgiving,/ for turkey and pie./ Thank you for fall/ and gold leaves floating by") and paints a warm portrait of a family. The artist portrays boy and girl siblings who look out for their toddler brother, pushing him on a swing, giving him a piggyback ride. The children also express appreciation for pets, puddles, cuddles and tuck-in kisses. The artwork alone may well draw readers into this welcoming clan, especially as the family sits down with guests to a festive meal on the final spread. Ages 3-7. (Sept.)
