In the near future, six women on mandatory leave at a resthouse try to forestall the closing of a museum of women. Although PW noted that some of this black comedy/radical feminist novel is heartbreaking and outrageously funny, its ""unsubtle message, delivered in sledgehammer fashion,'' is off-putting. (February)
