Brave Little Finn

A new lamb joins the flock, a bit prematurely, in this tender follow-up to The SheepOver (2015). “Born early” on a winter day, Finn is initially raised in the farmhouse by Farmer John and his family. In the spring, Finn heads outdoors for the first time, and the Churchmans’ story focuses on his nervous first encounters with a frog, rain, and tractor, among other things, and the ways that Finn’s friends and siblings defuse his worries. John Churchman’s photo-collages bring the seasons to life through textured layers of frost, raindrops, and leaves.
