Hold Back the Dark

Bestseller Hooper’s less than suspenseful 18th Bishop/Special Crimes Unit novel (after 2017’s Wait for Dark) describes at length the psychic abilities of the various members of the FBI’s Special Crimes Unit, headed by Noah Bishop, and its auxiliary civilian squad, the Haven team. The psychics descend on the town and soon realize that a portal to unspeakable evil has been opened and that the negative energy released is taking hold of the innocent townsfolk.
