Old MacDonald

There's more than swanky pictures and the lyrics to that famous ""E-I-E-I-O"" song in this paper-over-board book, Souhami's first: gatefold flaps make a game of guessing which animal comes next. Bold painted-paper collages in eye-catching colors show a sprightly, bushy-browed Old MacDonald pulling a wagon, pushing a pram, driving a truck or even flying a plane. The line ""And on that farm he had a ..."" runs along the bottom of the page, leading to the flap, behind which is the hidden animal: a pig in the pram, a duck in the wagon, a cow in the plane, etc. Adding further to the silliness, Old MacDonald also pilots a rocket with a Martian on board (""With a Beep Beep here, a Beep Beep there... ""), turning Old MacDonald's establishment into a very funny farm indeed. Ages 2-6. (Mar.)
