Slow Burn

Marsh sizzles with her second outing (after Burning Up) to the small mountain town of Strong, Calif., home of some of the state’s hunkiest firefighters. Newly divorced freelance photographer Faye Duncan lands an assignment to shoot firefighters for an upcoming magazine story. She packs up her new red Corvette—which she bought as consolation for herself after finding her husband in another woman’s arms—and hits the road. What she doesn’t expect is to fall in love with her ex-husband’s Marine Corps buddy, Evan Donovan, who runs a smoke-jumping operation with his brothers, Jack (hero of the first in the series) and Rio. Someone is setting fires in Strong, and all signs point to that person being a firefighter. Faye and Evan race to discover the arsonist’s identity before someone is hurt or killed.
