The Bikini Car Wash

In Morsi's latest bubbly romance (after Red's Hot Honky-Tonk Bar) a scandalous bikini car-wash business incites an uproar in buttoned-down Plainview, Tex. Andi Wolkowicz has moved back home from Chicago to help her dad, Walt, take care of her developmentally disabled twin, Jelly. Work is hard to come by, so Andi reopens Walt's antiquated car wash for the summer and updates it with a sexy twist. Not surprisingly, she finds opposition from some puritanical locals. Adding sparks is a romance with her old high school crush, Pete Guthrie, now the attractive owner of the struggling store next door. Morsi's engaging characters elevate this from the ho-hum pack of feel-good romances, while subplots involving other members of the Wolkowicz clan add some heft to a light, breezy, going-down-easy story.
