Hybels, bestselling author of Too Busy Not to Pray, undertakes the task of demonstrating that a personal relationship with God is essential to a deeper understanding of the doctrine of God. Using his own personal testimony and life stories to emphasize various scriptures, Hybels explores God's personality and character. Various chapters dwell on God's gracious nature, God's righteousness, God's steadfastness and God's lovingkindness. While Hybels's evangelical theology may have limited appeal, his book is well-written and the arguments logically presented.
