The DiMarcos write a lot for teens (she’s written God Girl, he’s written God Guy). They understand the concerns and language of young people, as the subtitle suggests. The support they offer for teens is very specific: their analysis and counsel is based on a solidly evangelical Christian understanding of the Bible that makes God into a friendly, reliable source of strength, and Jesus a source of salvation. They apply these basic Christian teachings to teen insecurities. Their approach makes them effective resources for youth pastors. But anyone who doesn’t normally use the Christian Bible as a guide to life and problem solving won’t find anything here; this speaks to a Christian audience. Ages 12–up. (July) ■
