Prehistoric Pinkerton

Pinkerton's young mistress was planning to attend Dinosaur Day at the museum with Billy Barrett, in costume, but Billy gets sick. Worse, Pinkerton is behaving even stranger than usual. He's chewing on everything in sightbrooms, trees, bedposts, 13 pencils and a piano leg have all been consumed. A quick check in the Puppy Book reveals that he's teething and rawhide bones are prescribed. But Pinkerton is so rambunctious that he can't be left alone. So off to the museum he goesdressed as a Stegosaurus. Just what happens when a teething puppy meets the tempting, huge bones of a Diploducus skeleton is near chaos and certain hilarity. Dinosaur lovers and fans of this funny, galumphing and mischievous Great Dane will not be disappointed. Ages 4-8. (September)
