Smelly Bill: Love Stinks

In his second outing, Smelly Bill falls head over paws for Peach the poodle. When her disapproving owner, Great Aunt Bleach, cries "Go on, shoo!/ My Peach is far too good for you!" Bill is determined to change his habits. But a disaster at the dog show gives him a chance to save Peach and prove his worth. Postgate's humorous rhymes, well-matched by his lively cartoons, bring Bill and his fellow characters to life—thankfully, without the stink. Ages 3–7. (Sept.)
