Parable of the Blind

Inspired by Breughel the Elder's painting, this provocative parable asks: who are these blind men and what were they like? What did they do, say, feel, think, suffer--as their eyes were pecked out by ravens, as they stumbled, fell and clawed at each other? PW called this an ``implacably bleak fable.'' (Sept.)
