Jamie Marten has a broken heart and an addiction to online fantasy games, so she’s pretty well prepared when an enchanted mirror transports her to the 1816 London bedroom of Micah Axelby, earl of Dunnington. Luckily, Lamm’s irreverent and sexy romp doesn’t take itself seriously: to prove she’s from the future, Jamie demonstrates Angry Birds on her smartphone. Micah has experienced heartbreak and scandal over his mistresses and is about to propose to a boring, suitable debutante. Jamie dislikes 19th-century England’s lack of modern plumbing and etiquette lessons from witchy housekeeper Mrs. Knightsbridge, but she’s attracted to the gentlemanly Micah; despite Jamie’s strange manners and 21st-century spunk, Micah falls in love with his mysterious visitor.
