Mila tried V-Date on a whim, but after barely surviving the attack, dating a vampire seems like a particularly terrible idea. Nonetheless, she can’t resist Vincent’s old-world appeal, especially since he’s the only one who can protect her from the killer, who’s still at large and hunting her. Vincent and Mila’s romance hits familiar beats as they pretend to date, then give in to their profound attraction, then worry about their future. Despite the predictable story, the novel’s titillating erotic scenes and witty characters will continue to draw readers in. (Oct.)
