Oh, Brother!: Giggles, Gasps & Groans Growing Up Together

These two books, one geared toward sisters (the pink one), and one geared toward brothers (the blue one), are collections of wry cartoon observations on growing up with siblings. Their format and size, along with the content, relegate them to the cartoon-collection category rather than the category of traditional picture books. Both books seem somewhat short of material, but Solomon's quirky and kinetic illustrations provide much visual humor that can be enjoyed with or without the accompanying gag line. Ages 8-up. (Sept.)
