The Tyger Voyage

Originally published in the U.S. by Knopf in 1976, Watership Down author Adams’s story about the adventurous travels of a Victorian-era tiger and his son returns in a vibrant new edition. PW’s original review of the book praised Bayley’s “spectacular scenes, exquisitely detailed and enhanced by an inspired use of color,” and modern readers should be just as taken with Adams’s rousing rhymes and Bayley’s images of Ezekiel and Raphael Dubb “Crossing on rafts the muddy lakes/ Infested with bright water-snakes” or taking shelter from a volcanic eruption in a mountainside cave.
