Lola the Elf

Diane deGroat's school-going possum, Gilbert (hero of the series including Roses Are Pink, Your Feet Really Stink), plays second fiddle to his little sister, Lola, in Lola the Elf, which inaugurates the Lola's Dress-up Box books. When Lola decides to be a helpful ""elf"" as her parents make Christmas Eve preparations, gatefold flaps unfold reveal the humorous, less-than-helpful results.
