Red Alert

The sexual tension between two supernatural special agents, one a feisty shape-shifter, the other an aristocratic vampire, spices up the excellent second Paranormal Crimes Division romance from Moss (after Code Black). Jame Bradshaw, a panther shifter newly appointed as team leader for PCD division one, struggles to adjust to her top position. When four senators with paranormal ties are murdered on Capital Hill, Jame calls a code black, and PCD agent Drake, a centuries-old vampire, arrives to assist. Drake has had his eye on Jame for some time and makes his romantic intentions clear. Jame returns his feelings, but initially resists her attraction and rebuffs his flirtation due to her lingering trust issues. As their investigation into the murders peels back unexpected layers of the paranormal world, the veil of professionalism between them drops, and they come together in a high-heat pairing that’s equally frisky and fun.
