Ones and Twos

Nell Jocelyn makes her debut in this collaboration with her mother, a counting book that doesn't go past two%E2%80%94and doesn't need to. Marthe Jocelyn contributes concise verse ("One bench, two bags,/ One pole, two flags"), while her daughter, working in collage, creates a friendly and expansive outdoor setting for a pair of girls to explore. In addition to the single and paired items mentioned in the couplets, numerous others appear, both in the main scenes and in the borders.
